A United Kingdom 1986 commemorative two-pound coin issued to mark the XIII Commonwealth Games held in Edinburgh. The coin is presented in its original yellow promotional card folder issued with the compliments of McCain Oven Meals. Struck in gold-coloured nickel-brass, the obverse features the third portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Raphael Maklouf. The reverse, designed by Norman Sillman, depicts a thistle superimposed on a St Andrew’s Cross within a laurel wreath. The card provides technical specifications and confirms the coin is legal tender.
