Coins & Silver Bullion Auction (14% Buyers Commission)
A collection of United Kingdom coins produced by the Royal Mint for the year 2003. The set is presented in a red decorative card folder and contains several denominations in brilliant uncirculated condition. Included are two different two pound coins, one featuring a commemorative DNA double helix reverse and the other a technology reverse. Two fifty pence coins are present, including a commemorative issue for the centenary of the Women’s Social and Political Union and a standard Britannia reverse. The set further contains a one pound coin with the Royal Coat of Arms, a twenty pence with a crowned Tudor rose, a ten pence with a crowned lion, a five pence with a crowned thistle, a two pence with the Prince of Wales feathers, and a one penny with a crowned portcullis. All coins bear the fourth definitive coinage portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse.
Condition report:
The coins are in brilliant uncirculated condition as issued, exhibiting high mint lustre and an absence of circulation wear. The protective card folder shows minor signs of shelf wear and very light rubbing to the edges.
