UK copper halfpenny from the 1806 fourth coinage issue of King George III. The obverse features a laureate and draped bust of the monarch facing right, with the legend GEORGIUS III D: G: and the date 1806 positioned below the truncation. The reverse depicts a seated Britannia design facing left with a trident and shield. This issue was produced at the Soho Mint, Birmingham, using steam-powered presses.
Condition report:
The coin displays extensive circulation wear with heavily smoothed details and significant loss of legibility to the legends. The surfaces have a dark chocolate brown patina with visible scratches and minor pitting throughout. A small circular indentation or drill mark is present near the upper rim on the reverse side. Grade: About Good.
