A set of six vintage mid-20th-century tall glass tumblers of slightly tapered cylindrical form with weighted bases. Each glass is decorated with a multi-coloured transfer-printed illustration depicting a couple in period costume, representing various eras of fashion history. The designs include the Tudor era featuring a lady in a hennin headdress, the 18th-century Rococo period, the Regency era with a gentleman in a top hat and a lady in an empire-waist gown, and Victorian or Edwardian styles. The coloured figure groups are set against fine-line monochrome backgrounds depicting era-appropriate architectural or landscape scenes, such as cathedrals, castles, and wooded paths. There are no maker marks, signatures, or etched brands visible on the bases or bodies of the glassware. These items are characteristic of decorative or promotional glassware produced in Britain or Europe during the 1950s and 1960s.
Condition report:
The glasses are in good vintage condition. The glass remains clear and is free from visible chips, cracks, or significant clouding. The transfer-printed decorations are vibrant and largely intact, showing only minor surface wear and light scratches consistent with age and domestic use.
