A United Kingdom silver crown dated 1897, catalogued as KM 783. The obverse displays the veiled bust or Old Head of Queen Victoria by Thomas Brock, with the initials T.B. visible at the truncation of the neck. The reverse features the St. George and Dragon motif by Benedetto Pistrucci, with the B.P. initials located in the exergue above the date. This issue is composed of .925 fineness silver. The edge is lettered with the regnal year.


Condition report:

The coin is in a circulated condition, appearing very fine. Wear is evident on the high points of the portrait and the horse. There is notable peripheral toning on both sides, with some underlying lustre visible on the obverse. Scratches and contact marks are present in the fields.
