UK silver crown dated 1895, KM# 783. The obverse features the Queen Victoria Old Head portrait by Thomas Brock. The legend is transcribed as VICTORIA · DEI · GRA · BRITT · REGINA · FID · DEF · IND · IMP ·. The reverse features the St George and Dragon design by Benedetto Pistrucci. This coin is struck in sterling silver (.925 fineness). Both obverse and reverse exhibit a toothed border. The Old Head portrait was the final definitive coinage likeness used during Queen Victoria’s reign.
Condition report:
Fine. There is moderate to significant wear on the high points of the portrait and the reverse relief. The fields and design elements show numerous contact marks, bag marks, and surface scratches. Dark toning and accumulated grime are visible in the recessed areas of the legends and design.
