A United Kingdom 1994 silver proof two-pound coin issued by the Royal Mint to commemorate the tercentenary of the Bank of England. The obverse features the Raphael Maklouf portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. The reverse displays the Bank of England corporate seal design by John Lombard, featuring Britannia seated with a bank of money, surmounted by a crown and the dates 1694 and 1994. Struck in .925 sterling silver, the coin exhibits a proof finish with mirrored fields and frosted relief. The item is housed in a clear protective capsule and presented in its original Royal Mint green velvet-lined case with the accompanying Certificate of Authenticity. This commemorative issue had a total silver proof mintage of 29,678 pieces.
