This collection comprises various mid-20th-century cigarette and trade card albums and a specialist catalogue. The items represent major British brands including John Player & Sons, W.D. & H.O. Wills, and Brooke Bond. The John Player & Sons items include An Album of Motor Cars and a commemorative album titled The Kings and Queens of England 1066-1935. W.D. & H.O. Wills is represented by three generic picture-card albums, two with handwritten cover titles Do You Know 1st and Do You Know 2nd, and a dedicated Album of Dogs. Brooke Bond trade card albums include British Butterflies and Transport through the ages, the latter priced at sixpence. A larger black Paterson’s Album of Balloons features a circular diagram of historical aeronautical craft. Also present is a second edition of The Popular Pocket Catalogue of Cigarette and Trade Cards by A.W. St. Clare. One generic landscape album is displayed open, containing a variety of cards including a Mocking Bird, botanical illustrations, and maritime views.

Condition report:
Items show general wear consistent with age and handling, including creasing, surface soiling, and rubbed edges. The Motor Cars album exhibits significant foxing and staining to the front cover. Handwritten inscriptions are present on several covers. The cards in the open album appear to be held by corner slots; these have not been removed for individual inspection.
