This lot comprises two OO gauge model diesel locomotives. The first is a Hornby R2420 British Railways Co-Co Diesel Electric Class 31 locomotive, carrying the running number D5512. It is finished in a BR green livery featuring a grey roof and a light green horizontal waist stripe. The bodyside displays the British Railways lion and wheel emblem crest. This model is designated as DCC Ready and is housed within its original Hornby red and yellow window box with a polystyrene inner tray. The second item is a Lima British Railways Class 52 Western diesel-hydraulic locomotive, carrying the running number D 1016 and the nameplate Western Gladiator. The model is finished in a BR maroon livery. This locomotive is presented in a white polystyrene inner tray and is accompanied by a separate Lima Models window box. Both locomotives feature moulded plastic bodies with metal wheels and chassis components.
Condition report:
Both locomotives appear to be in good cosmetic condition with intact paintwork and all major external components present. The Hornby box shows some minor shelf wear. The Lima polystyrene tray is intact, while the separate Lima box exhibits age-related scuffing and wear to the window. These items are untested for mechanical or electrical functionality.
