This lot features a Fujifilm FinePix 1400 Zoom digital compact camera, a piece of early consumer digital photography history from circa 2000. The camera provides a 1.3 megapixel resolution and is fitted with an integrated Fujinon 3x optical zoom lens. The body is manufactured from a plastic composite with a silver-tone finish and features a sliding front cover to protect the lens assembly. The sliding cover is clearly marked with the FUJIFILM logo and FinePix 1400 ZOOM, accompanied by the text 3x OPTICAL ZOOM 1.3MEGA PIXELS. The camera is presented with its original illustrated retail cardboard box and internal packing material. The box displays various technical specifications including a 1.6-inch LCD monitor, 2x digital telephoto capability, and USB connectivity. Included accessories consist of a black padded leatherette carry case with a shoulder strap and an attached wrist strap. This model was designed to use the now-obsolete SmartMedia card format.
Condition report:
The camera body appears to be in good cosmetic condition with only minor surface marks consistent with light handling and age. The original retail box shows typical shelf wear, including rubbing to the edges and some crushing to the corners. The unit is currently untested. As the lens remains behind the sliding cover, its optical clarity has not been determined. The battery and memory card compartments have not been inspected for the presence of media or potential battery leakage.
