A collection of philatelic and numismatic items primarily featuring commemorative covers and stamp sheets. The assortment includes a UK 2008 Royal Mail One Hundredth Anniversary of the Territorial Army coin cover with military-themed stamps and a Reserve with Pride commemorative coin. Also present is a 2002 Isle of Man Her Majesty the Queen’s Golden Jubilee coin cover featuring a 50p coin, postmarked in Douglas. Aviation interests are represented by a 1988 40th Anniversary of Farnborough International cover bearing the signature of Air Marshal Sir John Curtiss, and a 1985 Formation of the Bomber Command Association cover. The collection contains multiple stamp sheets from St. Vincent, specifically the Sir Rowland Hill Centenary 1879-1979 series in 40c and 50c denominations and issues for the London 1980 International Stamp Exhibition. Additional items include UK 1980 Cornhill Insurance Centenary Test Match covers from Lord’s and Kennington Oval, and a 1991 Sheffield Scout Post cover. The stamps are multi-coloured and perforated, exhibiting various commemorative circular date stamps (CDS).
Condition report:
The items are in generally good collectible condition. Coin covers are preserved in original philatelic sleeves. Stamp sheets appear to be in mint never hinged (MNH) condition with clean perforations and no evidence of toning or foxing. Commemorative covers show light, clean circular date stamps and remain free from major creasing or staining.
