A United Kingdom bimetallic five-pound (£5) commemorative coin issued by the Royal Mint. The millennium reverse design features a clock face over a map of the British Isles, with a cupro-nickel core and a nickel-brass outer ring. Inscriptions on the reverse include the dates 1999 and 2000, the Latin phrase ANNO DOMINI, and the denomination FIVE POUNDS. The coin is housed in its original illustrated presentation folder, which depicts a global map with the Greenwich Meridian and various international landmarks. This issue was produced to mark the transition into the third millennium.
