A UK silver Crown denomination coin dated 1897. The obverse features the Old Head portrait of Queen Victoria with the legend VICTORIA DEI GRA BRITT REGINA FID DEF IND IMP. The reverse features the Saint George and Dragon design with the date 1897 in the exergue and the B.P. initials for designer Benedetto Pistrucci. This coin is struck in .925 sterling silver. This issue corresponds to the LXI regnal year of Queen Victoria.
Condition report:
Circulated. Significant wear is evident on the high relief areas of the portrait and the central figures of the reverse design. Notable dark toning and patina are present around the legends and the rim. Surface contact marks and fine scratches are visible in the fields. A minor edge knock is present on the obverse at approximately the eleven o\'clock position.
