A United Kingdom silver Crown dated 1889. The obverse features the Jubilee Head portrait of Queen Victoria with the inscription VICTORIA D:G: BRITT:REG: F:D:. The reverse carries the Saint George and the Dragon design by Benedetto Pistrucci, with the date 1889 and initials B.P. in the exergue. The coin is struck in .925 sterling silver and features a milled edge. This coinage was issued to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of Queen Victoria.
Condition report:
Circulated. Significant wear is present on the high points of the portrait and the reverse figure. Numerous contact marks and surface scratches are visible across both fields. Dark toning is concentrated in the recessed areas of the design and along the denticulated rim.
