A pair of Chinese Baoding health exercise balls manufactured by the Luck Exercise Ball Factory in Baoding City, Hebei Province, China, under the brand name Ruyi. The spheres are constructed from highly polished, reflective silver-toned metal, typically chrome-plated steel, and are designed to emit a chime sound when rotated. The set is presented in its original rectangular storage box, upholstered in a blue brocade fabric featuring a red floral pattern. The interior is lined with red velvet and the box is secured with a small metal latch. Included with the set is the original instruction pamphlet which bears the brand name RUYI and the title Exercise Ball Direction. The pamphlet identifies the maker in both Chinese and English as the Luck Exercise Ball Factory Baoding City Hebei Province China (河北省保定市吉祥健身球厂).
Condition report:
The metal balls are in good condition, retaining a high mirror-like polish with minimal surface wear. The brocade-covered box is intact with some light expected wear and minor fraying to the fabric edges. The interior velvet lining and the instruction pamphlet show light signs of age but remain well-preserved.
