An early to mid-20th-century two-tier oak tea trolley or drinks cart. The top shelf features a tray-style surface with a raised gallery on three sides. Located beneath the top tier is a single side-access drawer constructed with visible box joints. The unit is supported by four square-section legs that carry a secondary lower open shelf. It stands on four original metal spoked castor wheels with a dark finish. The construction and form exhibit functional influences characteristic of the Arts and Crafts period. No maker’s marks or labels are visible on the piece.
Condition report:
The trolley is in good vintage condition with surface wear consistent with age and use. There is a prominent dark circular stain on the top shelf and some minor scuffs to the legs. The metal castors show signs of oxidisation and a natural aged patina.
