A large decorative table lamp featuring a porcelain base of twin-handled urn form, mounted on a dark-finished, turned wooden circular base. The porcelain body is finished in a rich cobalt blue ground, extensively decorated with gilt scrollwork, borders, and raised enamel jewelling in red and green tones. The central body has an oval cartouche depicting a romanticised pastoral scene with four figures. Additional decoration includes polychrome floral sprays to the neck and lower body. The lamp is fitted with a large cream-coloured fabric shade featuring a scalloped lower edge, accented with gold braided trim and a long, clear beaded fringe. A label on the brass-tone lamp holder is marked BHS 100W MAX, indicating the electrical fitting was retailed by British Home Stores.

Condition report:
The porcelain base appears to be in good overall condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs. The gilding remains bright with minimal apparent wear. The fabric shade and beaded fringe appear intact. As with all electrical items sold at auction, the wiring has not been tested and should be inspected by a qualified electrician prior to use.
