A mid-20th-century Tudor Revival style oak sideboard, characteristic of the Old Charm range produced by Wood Bros. Constructed from oak with a dark-stained finish, the piece features a rectangular top with a moulded edge. Centred towards the rear of the top is a single drilled circular hole. The sideboard contains two drawers positioned over a two-door cupboard. The drawer fronts are decorated with relief-carved floral motifs and horizontal reeded panels, while the cupboard doors feature inset panels with carved lunette top rails and vertical reeded stiles. The unit is flanked by fluted pilasters. The drawers are currently fitted with Woods of Windsor brand floral paper liners. It is equipped with antiqued metal ring-pull handles, decorative H-style external hinges, and a central metal turn-latch.
Condition report:
The sideboard is in used condition with signs of age and wear. There are visible surface scratches, scuffs, and finish loss across the top surface and along the edges. A circular hole has been intentionally drilled through the top at the rear centre. The hardware appears original and functional.
