A large hand-blown glass pedestal vase executed in a Mid-Century Modern style. The vessel features a triple-tiered form, consisting of two bulbous lower sections and a tall, slender neck that terminates in a wide, flared trumpet rim. The glass is cased with a graduated colour effect, transitioning from a deep oxblood brown at the rim and middle sections to a light tan and cream tone. The entire form is supported by a contrasting circular pedestal base of dark black glass. This piece is characteristic of cased glass production from the mid-20th century, in the style of manufacturers from regions such as Empoli, Italy, or Poland. No maker’s marks or labels are visible on the object.
Height: Approximately 51.5 cm.
Condition report:
The vase is in good overall condition. No chips, cracks, or significant scratches are visible. Some light surface wear and minor manufacturing imperfections typical of blown glass are present, consistent with age.
