A United Kingdom 1993 silver proof crown issued to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the coronation of HM Queen Elizabeth II. The coin is struck in sterling silver with a proof finish, featuring mirrored fields and frosted relief. The reverse design by Robert Elderton depicts a central Royal Crown encircled by eight ceremonial trumpeters with royal standards, set against a background of radiating lines. The inscription around the perimeter reads ELIZABETH II DEI GRATIA REGINA F.D. FIVE POUNDS. The coin is presented in its original red leatherette-textured presentation box with a white lining and is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity numbered 24999. The coin remains housed in its protective plastic capsule.
