Buyer's Premium:

A numismatic presentation set titled The Royal Mint and Bank of England FIVE Pounds Set, issued to commemorate the millennium. The set comprises a Series E five-pound banknote and a five-pound Millennium Crown. The banknote features the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II and the seated figure of Britannia, bearing the printed signature of Chief Cashier G.E.A. Kentfield and serial number YR19 991428. The five-pound cupro-nickel coin, known as the Millennium Crown (KM-1002), features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse. The reverse, designed by Jeffery Matthews and modelled by Robert Evans, depicts a stylized clock face set to midnight over a map of the British Isles, with the inscriptions ANNO DOMINI, 1999, 2000, and FIVE POUNDS. Both items are presented in the original illustrated folding card wallet containing descriptive text regarding the historical significance of the millennium.
