This lot features a pair of plush advertising toys from the Compare the Meerkat marketing campaign for comparethemarket.com, issued under the Yakov’s Toy Shop brand. The first figure is Vassily, characterised as a former roadie and record store owner. The toy is constructed with grey and brown plush fur, blue plastic eyes, and a black plastic nose. He wears a blue t-shirt with a Meerfest graphic and a black faux-leather biker-style jacket with fringed sleeves. He is housed in his original blue cardboard display box with a chequered floor design and retains the Introducing Vassily descriptive tag. The second figure is Safari Oleg, a limited edition release. This smaller toy features light brown fur with distinctive black facial markings and brown plastic eyes. He is dressed in a black and white zebra-print safari-themed onesie. The toy is presented in its original wood-grain and animal-print patterned display box and includes an attached maroon Meerkovo Passport tag. Both items are made from plush synthetic fabrics with plastic features and fabric clothing.
Condition report:
Both items are in very good condition and appear unused, remaining within their original open-fronted display packaging. All original tags are present and attached. There is minor shelf wear to the cardboard boxes, including light creasing and rubbing to the edges and corners consistent with storage.
