A pair of synthetic plush advertising toys produced by Yakov’s Toy Shop in association with comparethemeerkat.com for the British price comparison website Compare the Market. The lot includes the character Aleksandr Orlov, dressed in a maroon velvet-effect dressing gown with an embroidered gold-tone letter A on the chest and a yellow paisley patterned cravat. The second figure is a younger meerkat character, often identified as Oleg, wearing a school-style outfit comprising a blue knitted sweater vest with an embroidered crest over a white collared shirt. Both figures feature synthetic plush fur, plastic eyes, and fabric clothing. Each toy is presented in its original open-front cardboard display box with branded graphics and includes the original cardboard swing tags attached to the figures.
Condition report:
The plush toys appear to be in excellent condition with no visible signs of wear or damage to the fabric or fur. Both items retain their original swing tags. The cardboard display boxes are intact but show minor shelf wear, including light creasing to the corners and edges, and some surface dust consistent with storage.
