A lot of two vintage cast metal figural brooches. The first brooch is designed in the form of a kangaroo with a textured surface and defined facial features. The metal is a silver toned alloy with a heavy dark oxidized patina. The reverse features a pin and rollover safety clasp mechanism. No hallmarks are visible. The second brooch depicts a stylized apple with a stem and leaf, featuring a brushed textured finish to the front and a hollowed out reverse. There is a circular mark located on the reverse near the hinge; however, the characters are not legible. It is fitted with a pin and rollover safety clasp.
Condition report:
Both items are offered in as-found condition. The kangaroo brooch shows significant surface oxidation and tarnish consistent with age. The apple brooch is in generally good condition with minor surface wear and light scratches consistent with use. Pin mechanisms are in working order.
