A collection of ceramic garden planters comprising earthenware and stoneware pieces. The collection includes pieces featuring a buff-coloured body with horizontal brown banding and incised sgraffito decoration depicting stylised leaves and undulating lines. Another large planter features a cream-coloured flared rim with horizontal bands of green, yellow, and blue-grey glaze over the body. Also included is a large tapered pot with a matte red finish and a wide black band to the rim, alongside a small cylindrical pot finished in a glossy black glaze. The pots exhibit a variety of tapered and cylindrical forms, some with rolled or flared rims. No maker’s marks were identified on the pieces.
Condition report:
The items are in used condition, showing signs of outdoor exposure. There is visible surface dirt, mineral deposits, and scattered abrasions to the glazed and matte surfaces. Minor chips are present on the rims of the sgraffito-decorated pots. No major cracks or structural repairs were noted.
