A lot consisting of two vintage tabletop games. The first item is a set of double-six dominoes of traditional bone and ebony construction. Each domino features a white bone face with black pips pinned to a black ebony back, with at least one piece displaying a central brass spinner pin. The dominoes are housed in a fitted wooden storage box with finger-jointed corners and a separate sliding wooden lid. The second item is the printed cardboard lid for a tabletop game titled Run Out or Card Cricket. The lid features a colour illustration of two cricket players in action on a field. The lower edge of the lid is printed with the publisher details: Kum-Bak Sports, Toys & Games MFG Co. Ltd., 154/156 Vauxhall Street, Kennington Oval, London, S.E.11. Both the wooden domino box and the cardboard game lid bear matching small white adhesive labels with the handwritten number 888.
Condition report:
The domino set appears well-preserved, though the wooden storage box and sliding lid show visible scuffs, scratches, and wear to the finish consistent with age and use. The set has not been counted for completeness. The Kum-Bak cricket game lid is in poor, fragmented condition with numerous tears, creases, and losses; it is currently held together by two rubber bands.
