A trio of circular decorative plates produced by The Franklin Mint as part of their Heirloom Recommendation series, featuring portraits of Diana, Princess of Wales. Each plate is crafted from fine porcelain and finished with a silver-toned rim. The central images are transfer-printed based on original artwork by the artist Drew. One plate, titled Angels Among Us, depicts a profile portrait of Diana alongside Mother Teresa. A second plate shows the Princess in a pink hat with an inset scene of her receiving flowers from a young girl. The third plate features Diana looking upwards, with an inset image of her embracing a child. The reverse of each plate bears a comprehensive black backstamp including the series title, the individual plate title where applicable, the artist’s signature, and a limited edition plate number, with one visible as Af829. The backstamp also includes a safety warning indicating the plates are for decorative use only and not for food consumption.
Condition report:
The plates are in excellent overall condition, showing no visible chips, cracks, or restoration. The transfer-printed decoration remains vibrant and the silver-toned rims exhibit no significant signs of wear or loss.
