A decorative table lamp in the Neoclassical style, featuring a base constructed from a moulded material, likely ceramic or a composite resin. The body is designed in an urn form with a cream-toned finish and gilded highlights, decorated with relief-moulded acanthus leaves and floral motifs above a fluted section, all resting on a stepped square pedestal. The lamp is paired with a matching six-panelled cream fabric shade with a scalloped lower edge. The shade is elaborately decorated with gold-toned braided trim, a deep fringe, and hanging tassel drops at each point. The electrical fitting consists of a modern white plastic flex and a standard UK three-pin fused plug. No maker’s marks or labels are visible on the exterior of the item.
Condition report:
The lamp and shade are in good overall condition with no visible chips, cracks, or significant staining to the fabric. The item is fitted with modern wiring. As with all electrical items sold at auction, this lamp should be inspected and PAT tested by a qualified electrician prior to use.
