A Guernsey silver proof one pound coin struck in 1997 to commemorate the Golden Wedding Anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip. The coin features conjoined left-facing profile portraits of the Queen and Prince Philip, set against a background depiction of Westminster Abbey. The perimeter is inscribed with ELIZABETH AND PHILIP, 1947-1997, and the denomination ONE POUND. The coin is struck with a proof finish, displaying frosted relief against mirrored fields. It is contained within a protective clear plastic capsule and presented in a navy blue velvet-lined case. Accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity from the States of Guernsey.
Condition report:
Uncirculated. The coin exhibits no visible wear, contact marks, or toning. The capsule, case, and certificate are all in excellent condition.
