A Collection of United Kingdom coins dated 2003, produced by the Royal Mint in Brilliant Uncirculated finish. The coins are presented in the original red card display folder. The set includes two bi-metallic two-pound coins (comprising a cupro-nickel centre and nickel-brass outer ring), a nickel-brass one-pound coin, two cupro-nickel fifty-pence coins, and smaller denominations in cupro-nickel and copper-plated steel. Commemorative reverse designs featured in this set include the DNA Double Helix 50th anniversary two-pound and the Women’s Social and Political Union centenary fifty-pence. The other coins display standard reverse designs for the period: the technological progress two-pound, Royal Coat of Arms one-pound, seated Britannia fifty-pence, crowned Tudor rose twenty-pence, crowned lion ten-pence, crowned thistle five-pence, Prince of Wales feathers two-pence, and crowned portcullis one-penny.
Condition report:
The coins appear in uncirculated condition as issued, exhibiting full original mint lustre. The red card presentation folder is in good condition with only minor shelf wear and light rubbing to the corners and edges.
