This official Royal Mail Philatelic Numismatic Cover (PNC) is titled The final push to the line, issued to commemorate the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The cover features a block of stamps consisting of 1st class denominations from the 2011 Olympic and Paralympic Games issue. The individual designs depict various sporting disciplines including sailing, field athletics, volleyball, wheelchair rugby, wrestling, wheelchair tennis, fencing, gymnastics, triathlon, and handball. All stamps are cancelled with circular date stamps inscribed COUNTDOWN TO LONDON STRATFORD 27.7.2011 and GAMES OF THE XXX OLYMPIAD. An inset silver-coloured commemorative five-pound coin is positioned on the right side, featuring the London 2012 logo and a stylized cyclist. The cover is designed with a large-scale black and white photographic background depicting wheelchair racers. The item is individually numbered 01913 in the lower right corner, adjacent to the Royal Mail Tallents House address in Edinburgh.
Condition report:
The cover is in fine condition. The card remains crisp with sharp corners and shows no visible creasing or foxing. The stamps are well-preserved with clear, strikes of the cancellations. The commemorative coin appears bright and untarnished within its protective housing. Minimal signs of handling are present to the outer edges of the card.
