A painted cast iron doorstop modelled as a seated Border Collie. The figure is depicted with traditional black and white markings and is set upon a semi-circular plinth base. The base features a decorative gadrooned edge with a central acanthus leaf motif to the front. The item has a characteristic flat back for flush placement against a door. The design is consistent with models produced by manufacturers such as Design Toscano.

Condition report:
The doorstop is in good structural condition. There is scattered paint loss and surface wear consistent with age and use, particularly noted on the nose, the tips of the ears, and along the edges of the base. There are no visible cracks, breaks, or repairs to the cast iron. The polychrome paint finish remains largely intact.
