A commemorative oval plaque or mount constructed from 925 sterling silver. The face features three distinct levels of engraved decoration. At the top is a naval coronet, characterized by five visible points, each topped with a small sphere or pearl. Centred below the coronet are the Roman numerals XXV, denoting twenty-five. The base of the plaque is engraved with flourished script initials, appearing to be BH. The item is finished with a high-polish surface. No maker’s marks are visible on the face of the piece.
Condition report:
The plaque is in good used condition. The surface shows a high-polish finish with a significant amount of fine surface scratching and rubbing consistent with age, handling, and repeated cleaning. The engraved motifs and initials remain clear and well-defined. No major dents or deep gouges are observed on the face.
