The lot features a UK 1973 Royal Wedding first day cover for Princess Anne and Mark Phillips, with a 3.5p stamp and an Uppingham circular date stamp dated 14 November 1973. Included is a 1991 Royal Mail Microscopes commemorative cover featuring multiple perforated stamps, such as a 35p denomination, cancelled in London on 5 September 1991. Other British first day covers include a 1981 Christmas issue and a British Explorers issue. International material includes multiple perforated stamps from Liechtenstein depicting various bird species with denominations of 20c, 25c, 30c, and 55c, alongside a partial stamp from the British Antarctic Territory. The collection exhibits multi-coloured designs with a variety of cancellations, including circular date stamps and thematic pictorial marks. Condition report:
The items are in various states of preservation. Some covers exhibit visible toning, corner wear, and edge creasing consistent with bulk storage. Items housed in protective sleeves generally appear better preserved. Cancellations are predominantly clear and legible.
