Buyer's Premium:

A collection of thirteen military and commemorative items. British Army insignia includes a bi-metal Royal Logistic Corps cap badge featuring a garter inscribed HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE surrounding a central shield, surmounted by a St Edward’s Crown with a WE SUSTAIN scroll; a silver-toned Royal Corps of Transport cap badge depicting a horse jumping over a globe; a gilt Royal Corps of Signals cap badge featuring the figure of Mercury on a globe with the motto CERTA CITO; and a smaller gilt Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers badge with horse and chain motif. United States military insignia comprises a pair of bronze-toned USAF Command Pilot wings with a central shield and star within a wreath, and silver-toned Parachutist wings. The lot also features two large commemorative challenge coins: one for the RAF Digby 100th Anniversary (1918-2018) with a Union Jack background and ICARUS RENATUS inscription; and a High Flight coin with enamel detailing depicting an aircraft over the flags of the UK, USA, and Canada, bordered by lines from the poem by John Gillespie Magee Jr. Completing the collection are a Combined Endeavor 2000 lapel pin, a Canadian national flag pin, and a small circular gilt and enamel RAF-style badge.


Condition report:

The items are in generally good to very good condition. The modern commemorative coins are well-preserved, with one remaining in its original plastic sleeve. The cap badges and wings show light surface wear and minor patina consistent with age and use. No significant damage or loss of detail is visible.
