This lot consists of two decorative items: a clear pressed glass basket and a polished agate geode specimen. The glass basket is of boat-shaped form with a flared, ruffled rim and is decorated with a pressed geometric pattern featuring a square grid with raised central bosses. It includes an applied arched handle with thumb-piece mouldings at the attachment points and stands on three small feet. No maker’s marks are visible. The second item is an oval-shaped slice of a natural agate geode, featuring a polished front face that displays concentric banding in shades of blue-grey and white. The centre of the slice contains a crystalline druzy quartz cavity with a small area of pale tan mineralization. The agate is accompanied by a small, clear plastic three-point display stand.
Condition report:
Both items appear to be in good condition. The clear glass basket shows no visible chips, cracks, or repairs, with only minor surface wear consistent with age. The agate slice has a smooth, well-polished face, while the outer matrix retains its natural rough texture as intended. The display stand is intact.
