A collection of ceramic and glass tableware featuring a Royal Stafford bone china jug. The jug is of tall, tapered cylindrical form with a flared spout and a D-shaped handle incorporating a secondary loop at the base. It is decorated in the Art Deco style with hand-painted geometric motifs in green and brown, accented with gilt highlighting to the rim and handle. The base bears a circular backstamp for Royal Stafford, England, and is marked with hand-painted pattern numbers 71 and 7297. The lot further includes a large, rounded white glazed ceramic pitcher and a white glazed lidded butter dish with a matching underplate. Also present is a pair of white glazed lidded jars on a light-coloured wooden stand. The collection is completed by a four-piece pressed glass cruet set in a chrome-plated metal frame with a central carrying handle. The glass components feature a diamond-cut pattern and consist of two shakers with metal caps and two bottles, one of which has a faceted glass stopper.
Condition report:
The items appear to be in generally good condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs. The Royal Stafford jug shows minor surface soiling to the unglazed foot ring. The chrome-plated stand for the cruet set exhibits light surface tarnishing and minor wear consistent with age and use.
