A large collection of contemporary costume jewellery presented in two black leatherette-covered vanity cases. The jewellery includes various styles such as multi-strand faux pearl necklaces in white and grey tones, faceted glass and crystal-effect bead necklaces in multiple colours, and vibrant beaded strands in pink, orange, and earth tones. Bracelets and bangles comprise polished gold-tone sets, a wide high-polish silver-tone cuff, and cord-wrapped or beaded designs. Notable pendants include a large gold-tone open heart, a purple faceted glass floral element, and an orange resin ring-style pendant. Materials include gold-tone and silver-tone base metals, faux pearls, faceted glass, AB coated crystals, moulded plastic/resin beads, braided cord, and textile tassels. One case features a cream card pocket inside the lid with a logo of three triangles and branding for James Sloan. The storage cases are finished in black leatherette with gold-tone metal latches and handles and cream fabric linings.
Condition report:
The jewellery is in an unsorted and heavily tangled state, requiring separation. While many items appear in good decorative condition, some missing stones, broken clasps, or general wear to plated finishes should be expected in a bulk lot of this nature. The vanity cases show signs of use, including scuffing to the exterior and minor tarnishing to the metal hardware. Interior linings show light marks consistent with storage.
