A set of eight silver plated tea or coffee spoons manufactured by Mappin & Webb. Each spoon is decorated with a polychrome enamel terminal depicting the coat of arms for a different British city, including London, Birmingham, Glasgow, Sheffield, York, Edinburgh, Chester, and Exeter. The spoons feature decorative cast stems and are housed in their original blue presentation case. The interior of the case lid is lined with white silk and printed in gold with two Royal Warrants and the maker name Mappin & Webb. The base of the case is lined with blue velvet. The stems of the spoons are stamped MAPPIN & WEBB and EPNS.
Condition report:
The set is in good overall condition. The enamel on the spoon terminals remains vibrant and intact. The silver plated surfaces show light surface tarnishing and minor scratches consistent with age and use. The presentation case is well preserved with minor age-related wear to the exterior and interior lining.
