A collection of vintage domestic metalware and wooden items. The lot includes a wall-mounted brush rack featuring an arched oak backboard with a brass-tone wire frame housing two brushes with turned wooden handles and natural or synthetic bristles. Included are two rectangular embossed brass decorative panels, possibly intended as door finger plates or for a coal box or bellows, featuring genre scenes of figures at a well and in a domestic interior, surrounded by foliate borders. The collection also contains a cast brass commemorative horse brass for the 1981 wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer, featuring profile portraits and the date. Additional items include a simple brass stemmed chalice or goblet and a small brass chamberstick with a saucer style base and thumbrest.
Condition report:
All items exhibit signs of age and domestic wear. The brass items show surface tarnish, oxidation, and a varied patina consistent with vintage metalware. The brushes show wear to the bristles and some scuffing to the wooden handles. The oak backboard has minor surface marks and wear consistent with age and use.
