A vintage novelty barware set designed as an early open-top motor car, resembling a 1918 Ford Model T. The set comprises a textured glass decanter with a gold-tone stopper, a black leatherette cylindrical case, and a set of silver-tone metal shot cups. The carriage is constructed from black-painted metal with gold-tone decorative cord detailing and four spoked wheels with brass-coloured hubs. A plain, uninscribed brass-tone plaque is mounted to the side. The underside features a winding key for a music box mechanism.
Length: 240mm.
Condition report:
The set shows evidence of significant age and use. There is prominent flaking and loss to the black paint, especially to the front chassis and mudguards. Surface oxidation and pitting are present on the metallic components and wheels. The leatherette case shows minor surface scuffing and wear. The glass decanter remains intact. The musical mechanism is untested.
