A mirrored pair of seated King Charles Spaniel figurines, produced in the style of traditional 19th-century Staffordshire pottery. The figurines are modelled in a seated pose with distinctive floppy ears and moulded fur textures. Each piece is crafted from glazed earthenware, decorated with hand-painted russet patches over a white ground. The dogs feature yellow eyes with black pupils, black-painted muzzles with whisker spots, and black-painted collars with lead chains draped across the chest and back. No manufacturer marks or pattern numbers are visible on the figurines.
Condition report:
There is widespread fine crazing to the glaze on both figures, typical for earthenware of this period.
