The numismatic contents predominantly feature British pre-decimal bronze pennies including issues of Queen Victoria, King George V, and King George VI. A visible George V penny is dated 1929. Other notable inclusions are a cupro-nickel Israeli 1 Lira coin featuring the State Emblem and a scalloped-edged white metal coin from British India. The metal tin is decorated with a colour illustration of a cartoon elephant and a butterfly, bearing the marks for John S. Derbyshire and Son Limited, Nottingham, England.
