A rectangular mid-20th-century lithographed tin in a teal blue colourway. The front and lid are decorated with ornate gold-toned scrollwork and lattice-patterned borders framing a central pastoral vignette of a couple in 18th-century style dress. The word BISCUITS is printed at the lower edge. The hinged lid is surmounted by a central metal handle. The tin contains a substantial quantity of loose coinage, predominantly British pre-decimal bronze and copper issues. Visible denominations include pennies, halfpennies, and farthings. Monarchs identified from visible obverses include Queen Victoria, King Edward VII, King George V, and King George VI. Visible dates include pennies dated 1902, 1914, and 1916, and a 1945 farthing featuring the wren. World coinage is also present, including a Danish 1 Skilling Dansk Rysmont and other assorted international pieces.
