A collection of approximately 11 static display model locomotives and railcars, primarily in N-gauge scale, characteristic of partwork series such as those produced by Del Prado or Atlas Editions. The collection includes a red-liveried LMS Duchess Class steam locomotive and tender, numbered 6233 Duchess of Sutherland, mounted on a wooden plinth with a nameplate reading Duchess LMS. The original white polystyrene packaging for this item is marked with the code S 904 002 and Made in China. Other models in the group include an FS ETR 300 Settebello passenger railcar in green and white, a blue British Rail electric locomotive with the double arrow logo, and an SNCF BB 22200 locomotive finished in a navy blue and yellow Santa Fe livery. Further examples comprise a DB BR 103.1 in cream and maroon Trans Europ Express livery, a New York Central ALCO PA-1 in grey cigar band livery, and an Australian Class 2180 Co-Co locomotive in light blue and white. Also present is a silver-tone steam locomotive and tender on a dark wooden base with a handwritten tag numbered 534, and several additional models in clear blister packaging including a red and black 4000 000 Co-Co locomotive. These models are constructed from die-cast metal with plastic details and are intended for static display.
Condition report:
The collection appears to be in good displayable condition. Several models remain in their original blister packs, which exhibit signs of storage and handling wear including light crushing, dust, and surface scuffing. The polystyrene box for the LMS engine shows minor age-related wear. The models are static display pieces and are not motorized for operation on powered tracks.
