The collection features a Stanley Yankee No. 130A spiral ratchet screwdriver, marked on the chrome barrel with 130A, (G.B) LTD, and ENGLAND, finished with a maroon-painted wooden handle. The lot includes various screwdrivers by makers including Stanley, Marples, and Irwin (marked Made in England), with handles of translucent orange acetate and modern rubberised grips. Additional tools comprise a metal torpedo spirit level marked 1626 and Made in England, a wheel-type glass cutter with a turned dark wood handle, a four-fold boxwood and brass carpenter’s rule, and a rectangular red plastic case for accessories.
Condition report:
The collection is in heavily used workshop condition. The leather tool roll shows significant staining, soiling, and wear consistent with age and use. The wooden handle of the spiral screwdriver exhibits substantial paint chipping and loss. Metal components across the assortment show varying degrees of surface oxidation, scratches, and ingrained dirt. The tools are sold as-found and have not been tested for mechanical functionality or accuracy.
