A Victorian sterling silver presentation goblet hallmarked for London 1870. The vessel features a flared bowl decorated with ornate repoussé work depicting panels of floral and foliate motifs set within an arcaded border. A central oval cartouche contains a hand engraved commemorative inscription. The bowl is supported by a slender stem with a central knop resting on a circular spreading foot with a beaded rim. The upper rim bears a full set of five English hallmarks including the makers mark BB within a rectangular punch for Barker Brothers the Queen Victoria duty mark the lion passant standard mark for sterling silver the leopards head assay mark for London and the lowercase gothic date letter p for 1870.
The central cartouche is engraved with the following text:

Condition report:
The goblet shows signs of age and use consistent with an antique item. Visible tarnishing and patina are present throughout particularly in the recessed areas of the decoration. There are minor surface scratches and light wear to the sharpness of the engraving. No major dents or signs of previous repairs are visible in the provided images.
