A mid-century wooden bench, constructed from beech or a similar light-coloured hardwood. The design features a rectangular seat and a horizontal backrest rail, both upholstered in a black grained vinyl material. The frame consists of four square-section tapered legs and two vertical uprights supporting the backrest. The simple, functional aesthetic is indicative of British mass-produced furniture from the 1960s or 1970s. No maker’s marks or labels are visible.
Condition report:
The item is in used condition. The seat upholstery shows significant surface wear, including numerous scuffs and shallow scratches across the top. The backrest upholstery exhibits some light surface wrinkling but remains intact. The wooden frame shows age-related wear and minor staining, particularly towards the base of the legs.
