A pair of footed glass compotes, likely intended for sweetmeats or preserves, featuring a design in the style of Victorian American Brilliant Period cut glass. Each vessel has a flared, deep body with a prominent sawtooth rim. The decorative scheme includes various geometric motifs such as large oval punty cuts, interlocking diamond-point stars, and fan-shaped foliate designs. The short faceted stems lead down to wide, scalloped feet decorated with starburst patterns to the underside. The clarity of the glass and complexity of the pattern emulate hand-cut crystal, though the slightly rounded edges of the decorative elements suggest they are high-quality pressed glass. No maker marks or signatures are present.
