A sterling silver necklace featuring a fine curb link chain and a small, hinged oval locket pendant. The front face of the locket is decorated with an engraved motif depicting a butterfly amidst flowers and scrolling foliage. The pendant is suspended from a simple polished bail and opens to reveal space for two photographs. The necklace is secured with a spring ring clasp. A small circular tag attached near the clasp is stamped 925, indicating the item is made of sterling silver.
Condition report:
The necklace shows an aged patina with visible tarnishing throughout, particularly within the recessed areas of the engraved design and on the chain links. The hinge and clasp are functional. It appears to be in overall good vintage condition with no significant damage or repairs.
